Giancarlo Sergi

Managing Partner

Giancarlo Sergi started his sports career as a professional basketball player before completing his bachelor and master degrees in business administration and sports management in Lausanne, Barcelona and Lyon. (more)

From 2000 to 2006, Giancarlo worked as a full-time employee for UEFA and was notably Marketing Services Manager for UEFA Team Competitions such as EURO, U-21, Futsal and Women Championships.

In 2006, Giancarlo founded SINERGI Sports Consulting which is headquartered at the “Maison du Sport International” in Lausanne. SINERGI Sports Consulting is a management consulting firm advising Sport Organisations and Commercial Entities in the areas of Business Development & Marketing, Event Planning, Knowledge Management and Recruitment.

Giancarlo gained valuable experience holding various consultancy roles for 3 Olympic Games (Athens, Torino and Beijing), 2 FIFA World Cups (Germany, South Africa) and 2 UEFA EUROS (Portugal, Switzerland). From 2006 to 2010, Giancarlo was the senior consultant for the UEFA KISS & Education programme, which aims to professionalise UEFA Member Associations. Tasks and responsibilities included content management and moderation of over 40 seminars, on-site trainings and management of Member Association communities.

Giancarlo is of Italian and Swiss citizenships and speaks fluently French, Italian, Spanish and English.

Liselotte Kallen-Trummer

Event Specialist

After 15 years in marketing and communication functions in the industry sector, Liselotte joined the sports environment and gained an extensive knowledge in brand, communication, as well as event and project management in the world of football over the last ten years (more)

A Swiss national, Liselotte is fluent in German, French and English and has obtained diplomas in commercial, marketing and web project management.

As Communication Manager for the two football tournaments UEFA EURO 2004 in Portugal and 2008 in Austria-Switzerland, she successfully delivered a very cohesive brand identity and showed her creativity, competency and efficiency.

Liselotte also occupied various operational positions such as Marketing Venue Manager (UEFA EURO 2004), Promotions Manager (UEFA Cup 2006), Hospitality Venue Manager (FIFA World Cup 2006, UEFA EURO 2008), and fulfilled such missions to a high quality with a very strong professional commitment.

The overall responsibility of the UEFA EURO 2012 logo launch in Kyiv, Ukraine, coupled with the integration of a Spanish company into a Swiss motherhouse in 2011, provided Liselotte with comprehensive project management know-how.

In 2012, Liselotte joined SINERGI Sport Consulting as Event Specialist to work on the upcoming UEFA Champions League seasons in the role of Venue and Sponsorship Manager.

Michal Buchel

Multi-Sports Events Specialist

Michal Buchel is a multi-lingual sports manager with large experience in international sporting event management and working experience with organising events worldwide (Turkey, Russia, China, Serbia, Thailand) in summer as well as winter sports. He studied and successfully completing his Master of Political Sciences at in Slovakia, during his professional ice-hockey sports career. (more)

From 2005 to 2011 worked as a full-time employee for FISU (International University Sports Federation) in Brussels where he gained the first valuable experience of the multi-sport event organisations. Michal was involved in preparation of the sports program, master plan for multi-sport competition, venues planning, as well as the coordination of the venue inspection visits and optimisation of the event logistics for the Summer and Winter Universiade.

From 2011 to 2012 Michal worked in SportAccord, the umbrella organisation for both Olympic & non-Olympic International Federation and Sports Organisation as well as organisers of sporting events as the multi-sports games unit manager and consultant. He coordinate and developed the documents of the multi-sport event, provided the transfer knowledge management to the future event organizers and coordinate the preparation of the bidding documents for SportAccord.

Since the 2013 Michal joined the SINERGI Sports Consulting to jump into the consultancy business to the multi-sports games organiser. He provides the wide range of expertise to the sports department of the Organising Committee of the Summer Universiade 2013 Kazan, Russia. He is involved in games coordination and event operational planning used the gained experience from the previous working experience.

Daiana Robasto

Event Specialist

Daiana started her career in Event Management working for Winter Olympic Games in Torino from 2003 to 2006, for which she consecutively held the roles of Information Coordinator, Production Assistant and Broadcasters Services Coordinator. During this period, Daina was sent to Summer Olympic Games, Athens 2004 during Games time to work as a Media coordinator. (more)

In 2008, Daiana moved to Switzerland and joined Ovation Sports AG, where she improved her managing and coordination skills during the preparation of the Victoria Cup of Hockey and the first season of Champions Hockey League.

From 2009 to 2011, Daiana worked as an Operations Manager for political events such as first G8 and G10 of Young Entrepreneurs (Italy 2009/Canada 2010).

In June 2012, Daiana joined SINERGI Sport Consulting to act as a Venue Service and Sponsorship Manager for SINERGI’s client, UEFA Champions League.

Raphael Laub

Consultant – Recruitment

With ten years experience, Raphael has been involved in consulting and management a wide range of companies from start-up ventures to SMEs. He is well-versed in the recruitment as well as the selection and development of high level executives. His knowledge also covers team and individual coaching, assessment, team auditing as well as the development of Sales and Leadership programs (Talent development) (more)

As an expert in human relations, Raphael tries to draw the best potential from his candidates and from his “coaches”. He always tries to act as a catalyst in the development of their careers.

He studied Geography and Economics at the University of Lausanne and oriented his work towards both social and economic related themes. Then, he took managing responsibilities and led teams within a stressful environment for a market leading Swiss company. He also owned his own start-up company in the Telco industry. Hands-on person, driven by the action, he strongly believes that HR management is central, strategic to the company and its performance. In this sense, he thinks that HR management should be developed within a long-term and sustainable vision.

He is Swiss citizen and lives in the Lausanne area.
